I've been watching the news lately, and I am seeing a lot black Americans in the streets. They are out their because they are supposedly very angry whenever a black person is killed in a police confrontation. They are often chanting, carrying signs or wearing shirts that say "Black Lives Matter". They say that black people are in some way being targeted by a rampantly racist police force and treated like their lives don't matter. That they are often killed in cold blood, simply for being black. The slogan's purpose, they claim, is to counter act that...I guess. Anyway, other people are mad because the slogan is, they say, divisive in itself. So the counter slogan, "All Lives Matter" is used to show that all people are equally valuable. The problem is, they're both wrong.
I hope we can agree that all little babies, regardless of race or background, are born with equal value as people. These tiny children have never done anything in their short lives to be hated or discriminated against by anyone. If someone does have a problem with them, well, that's their problem. As a child grows up, however, the environment they are raised in plays a massive role in the the type of person they turn into. The values of the people who raise them are invaluable in this area. There are some people who have a spirit that is strong enough to overcome bad influences. But, they are very rare. Most of us become who we were taught to be. This brings me to whether or not "all lives matter". The true is that whether you are black, white, brown, yellow, red, green, purple, poke-a-dot or whatever, at some point you stop having inherent value. Your value, as a person in society at large, is now up to you. Are you a good person who is law abiding and makes a positive impact on those around you? Or are you bad? Do you break laws? Scare or hurt people physically or emotionally? Cause pain to your loved ones? The question is, are you a negative? Because if you are, your life doesn't matter. Not when put up against someone positive it doesn't. That may seem like a very cold way of seeing people. But it's really not. Because as I've said, it's not a coin toss. Choices are what make you a positive or a negative force. First it's your parent's choices, and then it's yours.
It's sad, but the problems the "black community" has, are self made. The out of wedlock birthrate for black women is 72%. Only 28% of black children are born into homes where they have a father. Do you get that? Literally only 28% of black men with children are man enough to raise their kids and be a real father, a real man. How are these innocent babies going to learn what a real man is with no one there to show them? How are they going to learn not to cheapen themselves by getting pregnant before marriage, with no one there to teach them? The circle is viscous and it just keeps going around. Then there's "black culture". I am curious as to what that is? Because if they think that gang banging, drug pushing and being proud to live the "thug life" is a culture, it's a pretty pathetic one. It turns innocent children into a group that commits half the nations murders when they make up only 13% of the population. Does that sound good? I see women talking about being a "strong, black woman" like Beyonce. Excuse me? She dances around like a cheap stripper, "sings" graphically about her sexual exploits, and she's married to a former drug dealer who "raps" about about women, using the most degrading language out there. Strong? She's a disgrace. They both are. But they are held up as being good role models. Gang members who have been killed are given respect. Children are taught that these are the people to emulate. Is it any wonder they are so far off track?
But the biggest problem, the number one problem, is the belief that they are victims of other peoples racism and bigotry. These children are taught that the police, and white people have an ingrained hatred for them. It is drilled into their heads that when they are caught and punished for wrong doing, it's their race, not their actions that are the cause of it. That if they are then looked at with suspicion later on, it's their race, not that they have a history of criminality that causes the suspicion. So we come full circle. Back to "Black Lives Matter". Ten's of thousands of horribly raised back American's in the streets to protest what? Black on black crime? Nope. Gang and drug violence? No again. Violent and degrading lyrics in music? Still no! What they are so angry about is criminal thugs, with wrap sheets a mile long who have illegal weapons and resist arrest, or out right attack police officers being killed as a result. They are mad at the police. The police are evil racists for protecting themselves from being killed? Does that make any sense? Even when the police are also black. You can try to figure that one out for yourselves. The stats on police shootings are irrelevant. The stats on crime broken down by race are also irrelevant. The idea that anything could possibly be in anyway their own fault won't be listened too. You are just a racist.
But the simple truth is this. Regardless of race. If you are a well mannered, well dressed(clean, clothes that fit), polite person who's is not a known criminal or hanging out with known criminals, you will likely not be stopped by the police. If you are stopped, you will not be shot if you are respectful and compliant. It's that easy. No, really. It's that easy. If you are a known criminal with an illegal gun and you give the police trouble, well, don't say I didn't warn you. So no, it's not "Black Lives Matter" or "All Lives Matter". It's what each person decides for themselves. What are you going to be?

ReplyDeleteYou should go to college. Or, at the very least, take a class that teaches you how to write properly. This post is full of improper grammar, misspelled words, passive voice, and incorrect phrasing. Your poor writing really confirms that the content of your opinion is as ill-informed as the style with which it is written.
ReplyDeleteI read your piece and nothing about it makes sense. I will concede that dressing properly and being respectful goes a long way. But the bottom line is, you take a white person dressed up like a black person and chances are he won't be looked at with suspicion just because of the color of his skin. At any rate, your whole blog makes zero sense when you start by saying that "It's sad, but the problems the "black community" has, are self made. The out of wedlock birthrate for black women is 72%. Only 28% of black children are born into homes where they have a father. Do you get that? Literally only 28% of black men with children are man enough to raise their kids and be a real father, a real man." Well, how can black fathers be present when many have been unfairly prison due to the color of their skin? I will end this here. You are "smart" enough to figure out the rest.
